The Baku Chess Olympiad Operating Committee extends its gratitude

The Baku Chess Olympiad Operating Committee extends its gratitude to the participants of the national competition to determine the mascot of the 42nd World Chess Olympiad. The Operating Committee would like to thank each and every one of you for your valuable contributions to the competition to select a mascot for such a prestigious sporting event.

More than 600 mascot bids were submitted to the Baku Chess Olympiad Operating Committee to stand in the competition, the youngest competitor being only 8 years of age. After all the bids had been carefully examined, the decision was made to select the most relevant alternatives. As a result of a week of heated discussions, the drawing by Musa Jangiyev was selected as the winner.

The Baku Chess Olympiad Operating Committee appreciates your attention and interest in this prestigious competition. We are very pleased with such unity around the Baku Chess Olympiad. The Baku Chess Olympiad Operating Committee looks forward to seeing you in more competitions in the future.
