Meet the commentator

These are the people whose voices you hear every day when you tune in to follow the world's biggest chess event.

The English commentary is provided by Grandmasters Miguel Illescas and Evgenij Miroshnichenko. After the rest day "Miro" will be joined by the former women's world champion Susan Polgar and "New in Chess" editor Dirk Jan ten Geuzendam.

The commentary for the local chess fans in Azeri language is by GM Anar Allakhverdiyev and GM Farid Abbasov. The duo already cooperated during the last year's World Cup in Baku.

Sergei Shipov and various guests are entertaining the Russian-speaking audience.
